Hello folks,

As preparation for the new GPU which will be better at Directx 12, I was going to upgrade my current OS to windows 10 but..unfortunately I keep stucked at downloading the latest drivers etc for several hours (no progress at all and I'm using 30Mbps cable Network).. this is because I'd formatted my PC before.

So my question is,

Is it possible to upgrade to windows 10 without up-to-date the windows files updates etc first? or is there any other way I can download all the updates for my windows 7 and then upgrade it into windows 10 later on?

Kindly helps.

Regards,

TTT

Restart it and skip finding the latest drivers, it will get them later after it's installed 10. This make it a much faster process.

If I do that, will it required a Windows 10 CD key or straight upgrade from W7 > W10 without required a key confirmation?

You can do it with your 7 key and it will upgrade it to 10

If you have an activated 7 installed it will just upgrade from it for you, If you go with the iso fresh install you will need to put your 7 key in for activation.
