So i'm looking to pull the trigger today on a PC, but i'm still not sure if I should go with used or not.

So my budget is 3400 SEK - I'm buying in sweden.

I'm looking to game, right now at 1366x768 (it's the monitor that I have right now, but upgrading to a 1080p monitor during the summer). I don't need any peripherals or an OS.

NEW BUILD - prices are from www.prisjakt.nu

CPU: Intel Pentium G4400 @3.3GHz - 639:-

Motherboard: Asus H110M-K - 599:-

RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 2133MHz - 199:-

GPU: Sapphire Radeon R7 260X (1GB) - 1149:-

Case: BitFenix Comrade - 390:-

HDD: I own a 320GB Seagate Barracuda - So I am fine there.

PSU: Cooler Master B500 V2 469:-

Total: 3445:-

USED BUILD

CPU: Intel i3 3220 @3.3GHz

Motherboard: B75MA (Don't really have any more information on the motherboard, but since it's a locked motherboard I am not too bothered)

RAM: 8GB 1333MHz

GPU: Radeon HD 7870

CASE & PSU Not sure what they are.

HDD: 500GB Western Digital Caviar

Total: 2800:-

So there are obvious pros and cons. The Skylake build is better for upgrading in the future, but sacrificing alot of power that the 7870 brings right now. What should I go for? Can you improve my new build in any way?

I can't buy just the 7870...

Buy both and sell the rest part urself LOL. Maybe you can even sell for higher price.:P

Depend on what game you are playing. r7 260x should be able to handle 720p ish. Plus, you dont know what is the used PSU, which may be risky. (may damdge ur pc if its a bad quality PSU and 2nd hand.)

I would suggest the new one, because of the future ability to upgrade. if you go for the used build, after 1-2 year you will have to buy a brand new system afterall.
