I just got a refurbished monitor off of Acer's Ebay, and the monitor keeps crashing every couple of minutes. It goes black screen, and the computer doesn't recognize it anymore, is this a monitor problem? Do I need to send it back in? Are there some drivers I'm missing or something? I have to unplug it from the wall every time to reset it

Does the power reset or just screen goes blank? Like is the monitor losing power?

Screen goes black, monitor still has power, as the light is still on. and it moves everything to my other monitor. I don't think it's a bad port, unless all 3 of my DisplayPorts and my HDMI port on my 980 ti are bad

I have 1 displayport and 1 hdmi that were sent with, I doubt they are both bad. I can go steal the HDMI from my TV I guess

True. Could be the monitor then... I have the same monitor. Hope I don't have issues. I'm thinking of swapping it with a 4k anyways.

You should try a different cable ASAP. Then if it doesn't work RMA it. I've had mine for awhile and never had any issues.

I tried using a different HDMI cable, but I think the HDMI port on the monitor is busted, cause it doesn't work on mine or my brothers PC

That's a huge red flag in the first place. Send that shit back before its too late op.
