Hello Linustechtips Community,

I am brand new to this stuff but I have been wanting to get into PC gaming for years. I have a few parameter but money is no issue. If I was to build this today I have a budget of 1000.00 Canadian dollars, but each month I wait it grows by 300.00.

My biggest thing is that I get deployed for two months every year and have limited space on an airplane to store things, also I have misgivings about putting a computer under a plane, and out of my reach for a whole flight. I am basically looking for laptop portability, with desktop performance and customization. I won't be using this on the go, I just want it to be easily taken from where it is to somewhere else, so do not require it to run on a battery, I just want a compact build that I can put in a backpack or shoulder case/briefcase with all the peripherals. Or if I can get a case with a screen like a laptop with the hardware in a case on the bottom. I also want this to be high end so that I will have no problems running any games for the next few years.

At home this will most likely be hooked up to either my 4k TV, or a 1080p TV. If I don't feel that these will cut it then I can deal with that till I can get a different solution.

I have looked at a few options for portable screens and found a few.

- https://www.amazon.com/Sentry-Personal-Gaming-Environment-playstation-4/dp/B00A7VK16A/ref=pd_sim_63_6?ie=UTF8&dpID=41aoGH76KRL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=JSNMVVT03QNZHQT32CQ0

This one comes with the ability to put the peripherals in the same case, but the screen is less mobile and the container might be too small to fit a proper computer into it.

- https://www.amazon.com/Performance-Portable-Monitor-Consoles-console-included/dp/B00P45U628/ref=pd_sim_63_5?ie=UTF8&dpID=41GOTfKtvBL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=V7Q62KDQ43KJRWV0TQ8Z

This one is mobile and slim. I can set it up and game by looking at it from a chair or put it in my lap when laying on the bed.

Best one I found

I have also looked at a few cases that looked like they could fit a high end rig in it.

This looks small but I am unsure about how portable it would be.

This looks pretty much the same

These are the only things I have so far. The guts of it will come later, although I am looking for suggestions on those as well. The main reason I posted this was to find out if this build is even possible or if it is a pipe dream. Thank you all for input and advice.
