i just bought an i7 5820k and i am currently cooling it with a H80i v2. my idle temps are are 42-45C and load(tested with BF4 on max settings) is 59-60c

I feel this temps are too high for using a water cooler and i dont think this is a hot running the chip. Did i lose the silicon lottery

*I used AI Suit to record temps because that is all i have

No, perfectly fine temps.

120/140mm AIOs tend to give mediocre cooling performance for their price so it's normal to have those temps.

not yet because all a do is game with it currently but when i head of to college i will OC it for applications like auto cad and other 3D rendering software for engineering

Check corsair link and turn the pump speed up if it hasn't been already set at the max.

It's a tad bit warm for the 6 core.
