DOA hdd refund only?

Not really sure if this should be here or Hard drive, but it's not specifically about the drive.

Just bought a new hdd on amazon that was on sale for $53 USD, Seagate 2TB Desktop HDD SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive (ST2000DM001). First drive was lost in the mail, the replacement, which was the wrong drive, was DOA. Now the sale is over and they only want to offer me a refund due to "quality issues", they are still selling the drive though, so the issues can't be to bad. Any advice?

Just take the refund and look at different options.

other options, on amazon, are $60-70 for the same drive, seems like they are just wanting to not pay shipping again.

If you really want/need the drive then tell them that you would much prefer the drive to a refund.

I can hold out a few more days, been waiting 13 now already, just a bit annoyed since it's the last part of my new build. Refund will prolly be easier overall.
