Tabbing issue

What causes games to just tab out while playing? I use a controller 90% of the time to play games so I can't just accidentally press alt+tab. The only game that I seem to not have this issue is "league of legends", but all my other games "Skyrim", "Fallout", and mainly any full screen games have this issue. After about 15-20min the game will constantly tab itself out, even if I click back on the game it will normally only allow another 15-20min before it does this again. It's getting to the point where playing games just almost can't be done because I'm constantly being tabbed out to desktop while I play. If anyone know why this is happening or maybe has a fix it would be appreciated if you could help. Thanks

Are you using multiple monitors. Sometimes when you mouse over too far on a multimonitor set up, it will cause that type of issue.

No I only have one monitor it's an ACER V246HL 24" the only other monitor I have stopped working so I don't have my setup atm. :[
