Check out some of the newer CPUs and get 16 gb of ram. 8 gb really is insufficient( for me at least)

You can go with 2 x 8GB but that would run in dual channel instead of quad channel. It might not make much of a difference, but you will get the extra bandwidth running it in quad channel mode.

 

The motherboard has 8 x ram slots so even if you went 4 x 4GB you could still add more in the future.
