They work pretty well. I got to try out the AKiTiO eGPU and Razer Core at NAB 2016. Both work wonders when it comes to upgrading your graphics for your laptop. Not a gimmick! The guys at the AKiTiO booth said theirs will be cheaper though, so I'm going to wait for that.
