Hi all,

I'm looking at a laptop for school, but also want to game on it on the move.

I came across the Acer ASPIRE V5-591G-562R with pretty good specs.

i5-6300hq

gtx 950m

128gb ssd + 1tb hdd

8gb ram

Only the screen is kinda dissapointing.

It costs 850 euros in the Netherlands

But when I search for reviews, the only thing I get are topics on people talking about how bad Acer is, and they're mostly refering to cheap celeron models from 5 years ago.

How bad is this thing, is it really as bad as people are saying the brand is?

If so, does anybody else have any other recommendations for around 800 euros, it can go a bit above but 900 is too much.

It doesn't have to be a gaming beast, but it needs a quadcore CPU for school and a half-decent graphics card to run some games on the go. Medium settings is good enough for me.

Acer is almost bankrupt in japan... I think it's safe to stay away from the company

Their laptops are bad, but the monitors are quite good.

For how much can you get a Dell 7559?

around 900, but it's a dual-core and I really need 4 cores.
