Asus X99-M WS: Error 53

The Error 53 for this motherboard is RAM related. I've tried to troubleshoot by using only 1 stick of my Kingston RAM (https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-64-Internal-HX421C14FBK4/dp/B01D8U29QQ?ie=UTF8&keywords=64gb ddr4&qid=1463278499&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1)

However, one stick in the slot recommended did not solve anything. I have tried to also hold the memok button as the manual said, but it did not post still. Same error code.

Also tried to use some 'cheaper' Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM that was a 2x8 kit, and neither one or both sticks at once worked. The same error code.

 

Are the slots dead? I'd hate to RMA this board after it being installed into my rig with all of the components in and watercooled.

What else can I try doing? Should I try to buy a different kit of RAM? I see someone on a built used this 64GB kit with this mobo - https://pcpartpicker.com/b/rxpbt6

 

Would love any help.

Do you have the latest BIOS to allow the 6xxx chip? I can't think of anything else just now.

How can I update the BIOS without being able to post?

BIOS update fixed it.

Weird thing - when the PC restarts from a BIOS change, the PC turns off, then I hear a small noise on the PSU starting back up, then the PC turn off.

It seems like the PC doesn't turn back on after a restart in the BIOS?

I read online that I need to turn off onboard video? Would that fix it?

The only way I can turn it back on is if I unplug the power supply and wait about 5-10 seconds once the motherboard lights turn off.

If that's only happening when you do an extremely uncommon BIOS update I would't worry.
