Are they looking to overclock on it? If they really don't want to mess with that then watercooling, and an unlocked cpu aren't really necessary.

I'm sure "Big Brother" hasn't knocked on your door because of your selection of pornography (that's none of my business)...unless your into child porn...hopefully your not.

 

As much as it it possible I don't relish the idea of gov tracking my financial, political affiliation or whatever patterns...but nothing to hide. It happens to be a big topic, never the less (always the more)...i'm more concerned with the stability windows 10 verses window 7. So I retract the comment about gov spying...really not what i'm big time  concerned about here.

If so... you can't have a GTX 1080 in there unless they understand they should have something better.

She's now asking me what monitor I recommend, I'm suggesting to her that she let me work a nice one into her budget.

Sorry, I am not much of a monitor guy.  I don't know all the nuances to price/performance on displays.  I am sitting here with two TN panels xD.

 

I understand where the performance edge of the gaming market is:  IPS/Adaptive Sync (GSync/FreeSync)/1440p/100+Hz...ultra-wide is a niche some people really like, I would want at least 34" on an ultra-wide.  I have seen 29" and it seemed small.

IMO 27 in too big.

 

Just enabled freesync for dayz it's pretty nice, but it's hard on the eyes.

With ultra wide monitors, 27 would be so damn tiny.  Remember, they are measured diagonally.  Being ultra wide, the corners are much farther apart.
