Ok so I have wanted a pc gaming rig forever but i am only 14 i have no job and i am trying to save up for a really good gaming rig. My question is is it worth all that money, becouse if i did save up all that mone i would be depriving myself of everything. Should i save the money or wait untill im older with a well paying job.

It really depends on what kind of hardware you want and how long you would be saving. As with most things though, its all up to you Chimmy! I am sure you could get an alright entry level gaming PC that has the potential to be upgraded in the future for around $400-500 (It really depends the prices at the time though) Granted it would most likely have an i3 3220 and a Mid to low range GPU.

Intel i5 3570k @ 4.0GHz | Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H | Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 2GB OC GHz Edition | Corsair Vengence 8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz

i also live in australia things cost 100 dollers extra give or take.

Not really; depends where you go. CentreCom, MSY and PC Case Gear are all pretty good.

How much would you want to be spending and do you think you have the ability to assemble it yourself? Otherwise places like CenterCom and PCCG have preassembled systems that are pretty good.

:)

You would not really be depriving yourself of anything if you built your own PC imo. You always have the option to upgrade in the future and it also might push you wanting to get a job at a young age which is always a great thing. Imagine being able to buy yourself PC upgrades every 2 weeks if you so desire. :D

I would be very tempted to try one of the new AMD APU's. I once played Starcraft 2 multiplayer on a 2500k integrated graphics for a couple weeks while I was in between graphics cards. It was playable even 4v4 starcraft 2 ladder and from what I have read the A8's and A10 just blow the intel HD2000 out of the water. Graphics are nice but it's all about gameplay.

If you are savvy you can build yourself a half decent gaming PC for around 500 bucks. Maybe 600 since you are aussie. :P

How much are you talking about spending? A few hundred will get you a good enough computer for gaming but at least save up a little extra so you can get a couple games for it. I'm not sure when you would be depriving yourself of by buying a computer, so I'm assuming we're talking purely recreational money in which case I would say go for it.

I'm also 14 and just dropped a couple years of saving into a gaming rig. I'm dedicated to learning about computers, and spend a lot of time on one myself. I haven't even put it together all the way yet (case and hard drive won't be here until tuesday), and I don't regret a thing. My point is if you are dedicated to gaming and using a computer, and you know that is what you want to spend all your hard-earned money on go for it.
