K70 backplate?

Hey, i just got my corsair k70 and i heard there was this white backplate/cover that you can put underneath the key caps the make the leds pop more... anyone know what im talking about?

Also i got this combo of the k70 and the m65 on craigslist for 50$, good deal?

Well if the keyboard is not the rgb version you don't need a white backplate. I have the k70 rgb version and i have "modded" it with (this might sound ghetto) by removing the keycaps and put white stripps of papper between each key. What you could do is put a red backplate under like on the strafe keyboard.
