So after having the H440 Build for a good year or so I'm starting to see the 960 fall short in newer games, I decided later this year Q3 and 4 to get a new PC in a whole, i loved the H440 case but want something different to try out and so i have something new to look at, I'm looking around the 1800-2000 Range and this is what i have come up with, i have extra hard drives around as well so don't worry about commenting about storage, but would love opinions on stuff, i love the ROG line and would love to stick to it as well.

I might recommend some red RAM in there just for aesthetic purposes (like G.skill Trident or Corsair Vengeance LPX), but solid choices all around. Maybe get the AX760i instead of the AX760. Its a more recent version, and comes with Corsair link, but that's kind of a non-issue. I like the strix, m.2 choice, good stuff.

Your case can also come with a tempered glass side panel... I personally think that looks better, but its a choice that is totally up to you. I thought I would bring it up in case you were unaware of it.

Yeah I meant to have the tempered glass version it's updated now, and as far as ram, I personally don't like the colored kits and i love my DDR3 HyperX and I know I wont be disappointed in the newer version. As far as the PSU, I looked into the "i" version and i just don't see what uses it would bring to me that I personally would want or need, the regular 760 has what i need honestly.

Then you have the build you want! Assuming you are going to be primarily gaming that is.

Yeah, I might in the future year get into some Hobby style Projects/Video Editing and Rendering, in that case do you have any suggestions on what would help?

Well, the 6-8-10 core Broadwell-E CPU's would help with that, but if its just casual or hobby level stuff, the 6700k (especially with a decent overclock) would likely be more than enough for your needs.

Okay thanks, and yeah x99 is just a little out of my budget anyways honestly so i think ill stick to z170

Somebody likes wasting money ^_^

Upgrading from an i7 4790K to an i7 6700K is a huge waste of cash.

Well considering my CPU hit a shit Silicon Lottery and i want the new Z170 features and I'm just ready for a new look to my PC, it doesn't really seem to be a waste.

There is no guarantee your new i7 6700K will be any better for overclocking, and it won't give you much performance increase over an i7 4790K.

Which features do you need ?
