Hi, so my PC is suddenly rebooting on its own. Doesn't seem to be a consistent reason for when or why. Whether gaming or just idling it reboots on its own. Took it to a shop cause I've reseated the RAM, took out the gpu, nothing seemed to have worked - and the shop told me that my RAM sticks were busted, could this be true?

do you have different ram? if you do try putting it into your computer and see if that solves it. i know that in server motherboards bios theres a feature called watch dog and it will reboot your computer if it is idling for more than 4 minutes. also it could be your power supply that is causing the issue.

Oooh busted, huh? Seems legit. Try running Mem-test86.

So it's just outright powering down instantly and rebooting itself?

Putting the computer under heavy load doesn't increase the frequency or trigger it?

I wonder if it couldn't be something with your lines. Try another outlet on a different circuit if you can, too.

Download Memtest86 and run it. If it returns errors, then it is indeed true.
