I need to delete network drivers for my Ethernet. The preinstalled windows drivers are trash and completely freeze whenever you try to use wired internet, so I need to delete the old ones and install some new ones. I got the new ones, but the old ones just do not go away, and that is an issue. My laptop model is Acer E1-571G. Old, unneeded drivers are Broadcom NetLink Gigabit  Ethernet drivers 15.6.1.3   .  The new ones are same company but 17.2.0.2   .  Here is a link from where I got the solution to my old problem of the connection dropping and what gave me the current problem. http://community.acer.com/t5/Legacy-Laptops-and-Netbooks/5755g-broadcom-ethernet-problem-on-win10/td-p/397653/page/2   (first post on the page)

Whoever can help me by walking me through the steps too will have my eternal thanks.

Go to device manager, find your adapter, right click, update driver, select manually, install. You need to extract the driver if it came in a zip file.

that didnt work, as it constantly says "driver up to date". Thats another issue

and you think that spamming the thing over and over will get you any different answers then you already have?

If you look at the posts I made, I havent gotten an answer :( . This is surprisingly the first time I got any help (Thank you @Pesukarhu ) if I got any help then I would not post again and again

What does it say in the properties of the device, under driver version?

Rolling back puts it to the same version as it is now, no point.

Well, im out of ideas.

The other suggestion was to manually delete the files in the locations where the drivers are suppsosed to be, but I cannot find the other files from the whole system. I find the actual driver file, but not the other files
