Windows 10 Taskbar Issues

I'm typing this on my comaq laptop, and recently, the taskbar started having issues.

 

The 'Search the web and Windows' box doesn't work, the start menu doesn't work (even by pressing the windows key), and the quick access icons in the bottom-right corner aren't working.

 

I'm unsure why this is so, and I'd appreciate any help.

It's also worth mentioning that clicking pinned icons does open the respective application.

I really don't want to do that, if it's possible not to.

It's a rather slow laptop and it's past it's prime, so reinstalling would be extremely inconvenient
