Help installing windows

I am tying to install windows 8 on my computer but when installing it no drives show up to install it on.

Is it a newly built PC? Maybe the SATA cables are not plugged in correctly.

I have had this pc for a while. I am tying to use it to host servers for various games.The BIOS seems recognizes the drive just fine but windows doesn't.

go to BIOS and check whether drivers are detected or not. 

Your drives could be dead (broken).

It detects the drive now but gives me the error: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk has an MBR partition table. on EFI systems, windows can only be installed to GTP disks.".
