So I'm panicking right now because I just formatted a friends drive to reinstall windows on their computer cause it was all sorts of messed up. And when I go to reinstall, it says that the selected disk is of the GPT partition style and that it can't install windows because the disk may fail soon. And if I try to boot up normally it just gives me the windows 10 sad face and restarts in an endless cycle. Please help.

Format the HDD and all of it's partitions and then clear all of the partitions and make it one big partition. If your friend had 5 partitions, he must either be a computer person or his PC must have been really messed up.

Got an Android, never going back to apple again (notice I spelled apple with a lowercase and Android with an uppercase)

It's a laptop, none of them showed up in windows except for the big one. The partition type of the small ones were reserved and stuff like that

Boot windows form a flash drive, open control panel, open administrative tools, go to computer management, and select disk management from the left pane. There are the partitions.

If there is still a windows recovery partition, mash whatever key the manufacturer says to mash on startup and then you have options to fix windows.

So I deleted all partitions and now it just says that the drive may fail soon. They probably just need a new hard drive
