I've just built a new PC for a friend of mine and after installing Windows (7 Proffesional) both the keyboard and mouse aren't working at all, I know windows isn't frozen because when I inset a DVD, the autoplay still shows up.

In the UEFI BIOS as well as during Windows installation the keyboard and mouse worked just fine.

During the final stage of installation, Windows setup showed an error saying "interactive logon failed" it disappeared after a few seconds, before I could read the full message, the PC restarted and continued to boot into windows and finish the installation.

I'm using a PS/2 Keyboard and USB mouse, system specs:

i5 6500 CPU

ASRock H110M-ITX/ac Motherboard

16GB Kingstom valueRAM

240GB Adata Premier SP550 SSD

I've tried formatting the SSD and reinstalling Windows but the same thing happened. The "interactive logon failed" error also appeared again at the end of the setup.

What can I do to fix this?
