Windows startup kernel power error?

When ever I boot my PC up for the first time in a day, it posts and gets to the desktop, freezes and stays at a black screen (unable to do anything) until i reboot my PC.

I checked the event viewer and saw i was getting a Kernel power (41) 63 error. A few weeks later a brought a new PSU (upgrade) and it still was occurring.

After that I installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 and due to studying I unplugged my HDD so that i would not get distracted by steam and other files; behold the error hasn't occurred since. Until I plugged the HDD back in and my PC has started to do it again.

So i was wondering can a HDD cause such errors in windows?
