Hi everyone!

I've recently updated my bios via MSI M-Flash and discovered that we can update the Intel Management Engine (ME) firmware as well. I've done some research on the subject but I can't really figure out wether or not it's important to update it. What's your take on that? Thanks!

It depends what hardware you have, it helps identify and install drivers relevant to your hardware and is seen on Intel boards, however it's strange that you have it on an MSI motherboard.

The Intel® ME software components that need to be installed depend on the system's specific hardware and firmware features. The installer detects the system's capabilities and installs the relevant drivers and applications.

I would keep it updated in order to get the latest version that may fix some bugs. But I would update it in windows by downloading the MEI via the motherboard website and not via M-Flash.
