So I am trying to make my old office pc run games at decent framerate (Overwatch,  CSGO, League.. etc.) I need a graphics card because right now I am using on board graphics.

Screenshot of my pcs specs below.

I just need some cheap upgrades to be able to run games, so I can play while saving up to build a gaming pc later.

I have found a graphics card (http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-950-2GD5-OCV1/dp/B01CX4URJO/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1465162305&sr=1-7&keywords=gtx+950) was wondering if it was compatible and would be able to run with my power supply/motherboard.

Thank you in advance cx

so.. for those that hate HP, here's a full spec sheet from their website:

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03513394

motherboard made by MSI - µATX

A75 FCH chipset

FM2 socket

pcie 2.0 x16, and 3x pcie2.0 1x

processor: A10-5700

8GB DDR3-1600

4 DIMM slots - 2 used in stock configuration

2TB 7200RPM hard drive

DVD burner

some other toys

300W power supply (i'll dig a bit more about this one, the pavilions are always a bet. i'll add if i find any extras here)

EDIT: the psu doesnt have any 6-pin or 8-pin connectors, so without swapping that out OP is pretty much limited to 750Ti.

can someone with more PSU knowledge than me tell me if this is the standard ATX formfactor or not?

Yup, it is a standard ATX from the looks of it. Usually the PSU's in the mainstream pre-built market are of standard size, unless the case itself is a very small ITX(which, from the dimensions, this one doesn't look like to be). Also this from the link provided by you:

Power Supply

Internal 300W (100V-240V)

  • Form factor: Internal ATX

  • Total wattage: 300W

  • Nominal input voltage range: 200-240V/3A (50-60Hz)

  • Dimensions: 150mm x 140mm x 86mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches)

Now from Silverstone, the standard dimensions of an ATX PSU:

Now from silverstone:

well, with HP you never know for sure :P

on their buisiness lineup they have a mixture of standard ATX for the "powerful" office computes, and their proprietary thing for the systems that dont need power as much as they need fast repair times, and lower cost.

on their home lineup they recently even added a third option to that party for the very low end stuff: laptop power supplies.

Yeah... the ideal scenario would be the OP measures it himself and tell us but w/e

well, one thing no one will EVER beat HP on its documentation. they even have documentation on some of their laptops for EOL disassembly for recycling / data destruction.
