Prime95 Only Using 15%

Running Prime95 Blend to stress test my new build.  Been running for several hours now and it doesn't go above 15% CPU utilization.

So what am I doing wrong?

Are all the workers still running, or have they stopped due to errors?

God has touched your CPU, son.

Thy hath sinneth, and in thy life thou hast fallen to an unholy, unspeakable level of humanity. Thou hast given into your basest needs. And suffered many years under thine Satan-box. However, if thine be willing, as thy hast show yourself to be, thy can ascendeth into thy glorious fold of the glorious church. Go well, my brother, may your temps be low and your frames high. ~ MrDynamicMan

Download and run HWinfo, it will tell you what if anything is limiting your cpu. You''ll be looking down the list at the CPU Performance limit reasons section for any "yes".

You will need to run HWinfo while Prime is still running.

I don't recognize the output, when you open the program does it give the option to run sensors only?

Could this be the cause?

If so, how do I change it?

I'm assuming since you're benchmarking you've overclocked...  what changes have you made to clock and voltage in the BIOS?

Not overclocking yet, this is just a bench test to make sure the components are good to go before I start installing water blocks.  Still and stock speed and voltage.

In your BIOS overclock area look for a setting called " Turbo via Throttlestop" if you find it disable it. If not let me know

Lol...

Shame on me for not trying this first but...when in doubt, reboot

Current test is using 95-100%

Thanks for all your help, chalk this one up to me not thinking clearly

Glad to hear it. Keep HWinfo running during all your testing. It helped me with a current limiting problem I was having a hell of a time trying to figure out after overclocking.
