Audio is glitched

The other day i had my headphones plugged into my front audio jack while playing a game. i paused the game and came back to it later. Only to find that the audio from that front jack sounds glitchy?(right word, i dunno). See what im confused about is the back audio jack works fine and i know its not the headphone because i've tried others. the case i'm using is the fractal design define r4. 

Any ideas?
