So my new CPU/APU upgrade got here and now its AMD A10 7890K

And I got 8GB 2166 MHZ RAM

I have my APU overclocked at stable 4.4 Ghz and GPU Clock at 960 mhz. I was wondering could my hardware be overclocked any furthure cus I haven't tried any furtuhre cus I might damage it or something.

What  could I run from the newer games, the resource hungry ones. If I could run at what settings.

I play ROTTR, WOW, LOL, TITANFALL, crysis 2-3, deadspace, wf for now.

Challenger Tier at League of Legends since Season 5.

@tiggar47

1.7 is way too high, even with a much better cooling system.  There's not any point going that high because you will hit the limit of the chip on a lower voltage.

Probably the only reason you haven't had crashes is because APM and other clock reducing settings are reducing the voltage.  If you put a full load on the system and let it hit 1.7 volts you're going to thermal throttle really quickly.

I'm not trying to be rude but you need to do some serious research.  Do you have AMD overdrive installed?  Do you have any stress testing software to test the overclock?

I can almost garuntee you that if you load a game your system will crash or, if you're lucky, just thermal throttle.  The APU's have a hard locked thermal throttle around 70 degrees celcius.  It's really unlikely you will get that overclock stable (both GPU and CPU) on the stock wraith cooler also, but you can try.  I'd drop the voltage to 1.4, overclock just the CPU, stress test, see how high you can get, and then overclock the GPU and repeat with some GPU stress testing.

One thing about the APU's is that when the GPU goes under load, the CPU will down clock to 3.0 GHz.

I'll let you know.

I just checked my voltage is 1.6V.

I'm running stable overclock at 4.5 Ghz currently.

My Crysis 3 is running at the background on Medium settings 720p I have almost 60 fps avg.

I ran stress test and few benchmarks before running the game.

My CPU temperature is 51-59 C

Only my Power Consumption is changing max it reached is 126.3

I have HWinfo running aswell.

If you don't mind, post a screen shot of hwmonitor.  Those numbers don't seem right.  What did you use to stress test?  Download a linpack stress test and see what your temps are like and if you get thermal throttling.

I have a 7850K that's water cooled and I can't get anywhere near 1.5 volts without throttling.

Then you have the power saving features enabled in Bios and your GPU is not under full load.

I do have Enabled, that is why I don't have system failure or meltdowns Kappa.

My system will automaticly reset to default if it goes critical, but for now it's stable.

Will lower to 1.5V on next start.

I'm almost positive you are trolling now :)

I had 7850K 2 days ago and yday i upgraded to 7890K cus it seems to be faster and cus of wraith cooler which is much better then 7850k stock one so I tried to max it out and OC see what it can do and its stable for now.
