Need three speakers

I need to get some new speakers, along with wire. I want three, no room for surround. I will also need some new wire. What's an average price, and what's a good deal for that price?

You need to set a budget before you can expect recommendations. Speakers range from $4.99 to $400,000 or more. I don't think you're looking at either end, but what are you realistically willing to spend?

 

Good copper cable and banana plugs... budget $50 

 

Now speakers. Do you want to spend $100 per speaker, $250 per speaker, $500 per speaker, $1,000?

 

You will need a receiver. Budget $250 all the way up to $2,500 for the very high end consumer products. But seriously for three speakers I would just buy something used no Craigslist or eBay as long as it supported HDMI. Otherwise if you're set on buying new, budget $500.

 

Would you also like a subwoofer? Budget $500 minimum, but really $1,200 for something nice.
