AMD and Nvidia will support Linux

Yep, and me being a power user I can't use it. I love Linux, but I can't because I'm a power user.

xD I personally forced myself to learn how to use it to a high degree simply because I like to help people and if someone asks me for help in a situation I know nothing about I need to learn it, like now - I forced myself 72 hours of pure Linux and was successful, oddly enough afterwards I didn't want to go back to windows.

That's an oddly contradictory statement, considering Linux is perfect for power users. Ubuntu may be perfect for beginners, but it's not the only flavour of Linux.

Learn to use the Terminal. It's very powerful if used properly.

Don't get too hyped. Both Nvidia and AMD already "support" GNU/Linux distros, it's just that the support has been pretty bad. Nothing in the article indicates that this will change.

It's better to set your expectations low and it turns out better than you expected, than to set your expectations too high and then not have them met.

Torvaldis seems to not agree with some of you's:

Caption from Story: Linus Torvalds himself last year called Nvidia the "single worst company" Linux developers have ever worked with, giving the company his middle finger in a public talk.

Some of you think this is all water under the bridge, or have yet to actually use Nvidia or AMD Video drivers on Linux machines.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.
