Is Intel Pentium Enough?

Hi, im planning to build a steam machine just for streaming from my main pc, i have a good internet conection, and the streaming quality from my pc to my laptop is pretty good(which is an i7) , i was wondering if a Intel Pentium would have enough power to handle the decoding process from the pc without lags or shoud i go with an i3, im planning building in z170 plataform

If the whole processor is focused on streaming, it might be okay.

I use one in my media machine as it can handle video watching well. The actual stream streamer is not full of high power stuff. A intel core 2 quad may be better as it only consumes a bit more power but it may be better in the future for doing other tasks, and the go for about £25 on eBay so offer great value for money.

The problem is that I live in Perú and here the difference between an i3 an a pentium is half the price for the pentium
