Gaming nas idea

Hey guys, (this is austin)

So I was watching Linus' video on the gaming nas and the idea of using 2.5 inch drives came to mind. So through about 10 minutes of searching i cant seem to find a 5.25 inch bay device that is similar to the one Linus used in his video that is meant for 2.5 inch drives.. at least not one that has the drives placed vertically, which doesn't make much sense to me 

(ideally this would be to maybe, if not add more speed than, improve the fault tolerance)

 

If im correct that it would be able to have at least 7 drives in a more compact space. if anyone knows of such device please post a link for any future reference for people looking for a similar device

What would you do to make that build any better? (maybe a 5930k?) and turn that nas into a small encoding server with 2 cores and threads? (or whatever name i can give to something that rips movies (that i buy) and makes them easily playable.)

Somthing to note, i dont know exactly how to do it yet and have no actual experience building computers due to the fact that im broke af but im pretty sure ie watched linus' build guides and others as well, enough to know how to do that much, and im looking into learning how to set up free nas among other things 

so your dealing with what i would call a noob that knows some shit so forgive any idiotic questions.
