ROG G550JK

I am looking for info on the ROG G550JK (Here: http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-15-Inch-Gaming-Laptop-VERSION/dp/B00KOUILK2)

There is a pawn shop near me that is selling one for 300USD and I am quite interested in it. I was wondering on a couple of things though. 

 

The major issue is that when I look at the video adapter, it shows it as a Intel HD Graphics 4600 instead of the GTX 850M that is listed on websites. Why is this? Is the GTX just hidden in the background? I want to be able to run the games I usually play. (Smite, FFXIV, Civ V, and hopefully Overwatch. Hoping for 60 FPS on Medium for all games. K maybe my hopes are a bit high for the 60 FPS, I'm not too sure about graphics cards)

 

A second issue is the HDD. When I looked at it, the 750GB drive was separated to roughly two 300GB drives. Is that an Asus thing and can I easily combine them?

 

The final is Sound. Based off of reviews, the sound is kind of bad. Can anyone confirm this?

 

Another question I have is; Is there a boot partition or something I can goto to start a fresh install? That would be nice and get rid of all the junk that is on there from the previous owner.

 

Last question I have is the price point, with sales tax and a 2 year protection plan it will come up to around 360 USD. Does that sound reasonable for that type of laptop?

go for it. If nothing else, there should be plenty of used 850m Mxchips floating around on the used market.

Do you know if the 850m can run the games I mentioned? If it does have it, it would be cool to know what I can expect performance wise. (Still don't know why it shows that Intel thing instead of the GTX thats listed on websites and on a sticker on the laptop)

850M is low end - 30fps yes. 60fps no.

Will it be a constant 30fps? and is that 30fps on med, low, or high?

 

This is what I'm using now http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1TS-000F-00023. Its a Toshiba Satellite S855D-S5120. It has its issues atm and I want something a little more powerful (and that can run Overwatch)

It's on par with a desktop GTX 460 if that matters. It'll handle most games today at a mix of medium settings. For games from 2014 and back, you can probably do high settings.

 

It's about on par with a GTX 580M in all honesty.
