Are they doing something to manipulate the search engine spiders because regardless of what I search for, as long as it's related to PC components, they're always like the top five results on Google. I'm not a huge fan of their reporting as they tend to report on loose speculation and single, unreliable sources (though occasionally they're right and end up being the first to report on something). It bugs me though that they're dominating search results... are they just a bigger, go-to source than I'm realizing or is there some search result manipulation going on?

Google.com and I could simply search for "GTX 1080" and it will appear as the top News result. If I search "GTX 1080 release date" or some other specifier like that, it dominates the top of my search results. Are you located in the US?

this MIGHT fix it

Looks like deleting WCCFTech cookies fixed it... I didn't realize Google was using these cookies to prioritize search results. I'm not exactly sure how they're even doing it because they can't read another site's cookies or anything... I guess they poll these sites for the information as they're generating your results or something? I can see their reasoning, but I'd prefer it if they were more transparent about it and allowed me to turn something like that off. I'd rather see the most popular results rather than it trying to figure out what they think I want.

Seriously... now I'm wondering just how screwed up my search results are because I have thousands of cookies stored... I guess I'm going to have to clear the lot of them on a regular basis again.

i honestly never thought of that, it was just an idea to clear cookies becase why not.

Seriously... I thought I was just humoring you by clearing them, but you ended up being right. I had no idea Google was somehow using other website's cookies to modify search results. It's not like I deleted any Google cookies... I specifically deleted only WCCFtech.com cookies.
