I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and can't install update KB2999226. I've downloaded the update from Microsoft's website but it says 'checking for updates' forever. When I go to Windows Update and search for updates, it just says 'looking for updates' forever.  This issue is also preventing me from installing Python. Please help!

You shouldn't use Windows Update to install hardware (like your printer)

Additionally, go run the Microsoft fix it for Windows update.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

When I turned on my printer and Windows started trying to install the driver, it just started searching Windows Update automatically. Where can I find the fix it for Windows Update?

Like I said, you should run the Fix Me for Windows Update and go from there.  A simple web search, or better yet use the help that is included in Windows.
