Hello,

I would like to build myself a new gaming PC. I would be playing games and watching YouTube videos at the same time. I have a budget of $1000. I would need that to include 2 monitors and the PC, I have a mouse and keyboard already. Here are the things I have since I think some can be used in the new build:

CPU: AMD A8-7650K (I'd like to switch to an Intel CPU)
GPU: Geforce GTX 970 4GB
PSU: Corsair CX750M

RAM: 8GB of DDR3 at 1600MHz (I'd like 16GB in the new build)
MOBO: MSI A88X-G45 Gaming
STORAGE: 2x WD 1TB Blue

Please let me know.

you can reuse the gtx 970, storage, and maybe the ram if you choose getting ddr3 over ddr4. don't recommend reusing that CX750M if it has a green sticker at the side, the quality isn't good. any case?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

why are you getting a amd apu without a amd graphics card?
You know it can be better because both graphics chips will CrossFire, thus scale better than having a nvidia gpu in there.

hell nah change that psu, when its in load it will hang the cpu, which is not good.

I was trying to "future proof."

you can only future proof cases and "some" psu's. as that psu is crap under load.

Hi,

It doesn't have a green sticker. I have the Bitfenix Ronin case, which I'm not a fan of, looking to change it as well.

alright, i'll assume that CX750M is the newer grey variant then.

Hello,

I'm good with the selection except I have a couple of questions. Could I go with an Asus Z170 motherboard? Also, why only 1 stick of RAM and not go dual channel? Aswell, could I choose which ever case I wish as long as it's ATX? Lastly, would you recommend any monitors using HDMI or Display port?

Thank you for your help!

yes, you can. but if you're going for a z170 board, then pair it up with an i5 6600k/i7 6700k+aftermarket heatsink to allow for overclocking if it's the reason you wanted it. i choose 1 stick to have 3 more slots to upgrade to in future and dual channel doesn't really help unless you're cpu bound. yes you can choose any case you want as long as it fits all the parts and has the features you need/want.
