What to do with multiple computers??

Wassup. 

 So  I recently received a couple of older computers from my work and I was wondering what I can possibly do with them? Anytthing cool? Anything practical? Thanks!!

Folding at home Boinc? Make one a home server? Use for a backup system? 

 

What hardware do they have? That will be the limiting factor to what they can do, and how well.

You can format the hdd and that will get rid of the OS installed. 

As for making windows into a NAS, as long as you are on the same LAN, you can share a folder or entire drive using windows built in tools.

I have a spare computer under my desk, I just use it as a footrest so I dont kick the wall.

Turn it in to a pfsense firewall, all you need is another NIC.
