CPU fan help.

callmeoldsport

When I start up my computer, the fan starts at full speed, slows to a halt, then resumes to full speed running completely normal again. The board works fine, and the computer boots with smooth operation. I don't have a graphics card so it beeps as i'm waiting for one in the mail, but everything seems to be fine as it whirs full speed, slows down, and doesn't stutter after that. I tested it with a graphics card and the computer was fine as well.

Specs:

FX 6300

Patriot Viper 4GB RAM

Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 Mobo

Corsair GS600

Perfectly normal. That's how the motherboard starts up.

My old computer (also with a gigabyte motherboard) did the same thing with the CPU fan on startup

It will also spin up to max on shutdown to force some of the hot air out.
