Doom only using 50% GPU?

For my first half of the SP campaign, i was getting 60+ FPS at 4K... however, recently i noticed i was only getting 35 fps.

 

I opened up MSI after burner and see that while my GPU usage is at 99%, my GPU power is only pulling 50%.

 

Anyone see anything similar?

Try switching into fullscreen mode from windowed or windowed from fullscreen and see what happens.

Already tried all 3 options, same issue.

That is indeed strange, did you try changing your GPU clock speeds in MSI afterburner with the game running?

Got the latest drivers which are needed for DOOM. Will try changing the speeds with the game running and report back!

Update: Still same issue

How about going back to the first half of the campaign and checking the framerate? Or reinstalling the game if all else fails?

Pretty much on the last mission, don't really want to do a re-install.

 

Guess I have to enjoy it at 45 fps
