I've been having a lot of trouble with this motherboard, and now I need to figure out something else. After managing to get the motherboard to actually attempt a boot, I'm receiving memory errors for tested memory, and I'm wondering if the board is worthless or if im genuinely doing something wrong.

I am using an Intel S5000PSL Server motherboard with an Intel Xeon L5420 CPU. During post, I get the typical 3 beeps for memory errors, and the LEDs by RAM slots A1 and A2 light up. The memory I am using is pictured. I have tried it in any and all configurations, and nothing works. I've got two more sticks of RAM coming in the mail. Tried BIOS clear and BIOS rollback. Nothing will get me video on the screen or access to the BIOS.

I just want to figure out what could possibly be going on to cause this, as I am starting to get very frustrated at it.

Right now, I have a single CPU in a dual CPU Motherboard. On this board, there is still a Memory Controller Hub external to the CPU. I can only use the CPU in slot A. Slot B gives me an error code that it is installed in the wrong slot. As far as I can tell, it is not the CPU, since ive tried it with another 771 CPU and it does the same thing.
