So I was sold a super clocked 780 for $150 from a friend almost a year ago. It's been great but now that I've got my 3440x1440 21:9 with another monitor ( 17:9 4K) coming soon I've decided I should get a new GPU. OF COURSE NVIDIA is releasing the new GPU's just as I'm ready to buy a car >.>. My 780 has more CUDA cores than the 1070 (which I'm considering) BUT my PC pulls double duty as a video editing work station and a gaming PC. Adobe loves them CUDA cores. What I'm considering is the following. 1070 assuming it'll out perform the 980 if not then I'll go 980 depending on the price drop. I've considered the 1080 as well, but ONLY if it'd be better to wait and get the 1080 instead of the 1070... I'm so lost

System: i7 4790K, Hyper 212 EVO, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix, GTX 1070 Super clocked, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, Corsair RM 750, Corsair 750D (with 2 additional 140mm NZXT fans up top for exhaust.)

I'm not worried about it assuming I don't have to rush. I'm hoping they don't discontinue the 980 because then I'd almost have no choice
