Hi, I have some SD cards that It's nearly full. I deleted some stuff via Command + Delete (I'm on mac) and tried to add more stuff there, but it told me not enough space. I deleted most except the most important ones so I should have at least 20 gb of storage (Using the 32 gb) but it still told me I didn't have enough space. So I tried to move the deleted files back (found them in trash) and just screw it, but it told me not enough storage left. I went to get info, and no matter how many I delete, the storage left will stay the same at 20 mb. I tried ejecting it and deleting everything and whatever, even locking the SD card but it still won't work so I went to disk utility and used the erase function, in the default settings. With the storage clear, at ~32 gb, I put it in my camera and tried to take photos, but it told me "NO FORMAT". I don't know what this means and did I just screw up my 32GB SD card? The camera won't let me take photos or videos but it works fine, like a USB. What am I supposed to do? Help!

If your SD card doesnt have anything you want to keep on it, do this

https://gopro.com/support/articles/sd-card-reformat-on-a-mac-computer

It should solve the problem because just deleting everything on the SD card doesnt work sometimes

I done if for 3 and all of them won't take vid/photo. Can I recover SD cards with this method? And also, does Sd cards have to be in a certain format? Thanks.

To format something only removes virtual problems, not physical, so if it doesnt solve the problem, its either your computer thats the problem, or your SD card is physically damaged, but it can not recover data from SD cards by formating it

This is how you recover lost data from a SD card: http://www.computerworld.com/article/2501547/data-storage-solutions/data-storage-solutions-6-data-recovery-tools-for-sd-cards-usb-drives-and-more.html

Its generally best to format to "NTFS", since it supports higer file sizes

Oh, no not recovering files, but recovering the 'damaged' sd card. I can't get the sd card or camera to take photos or video.

If its damaged physically, then no, you will either have to send it into repair (or fix it yourself) or buy a new one

What I'm talking about is that I think that I might've deleted something important that makes them able to take photos. It's not physically damaged or anything but I think when I erased, It erased I don't know, a program or something that makes them able to take photos.

Ive never heard about this before, but search for your camera on google, there if it is true, then there should be a download for that file on their website
