My friend's upgrade is has run into some major issues.

He got a asus x99 mobo and when he tried to boot up he got a 00 error code on the board so he sent it back. Now he has a MSI x99 sli mobo and it's not even reaching post, no image on the screen or beep from the onboard mobo speaker. Based on the setup below, what could the issue be? Everything is installed perfectly. Is it the Ram?

Motherboard: MSI x99a SLI PLUS
CPU: Intel i7-5820k
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 2666MHz
GPU: Asus GTX750TI 2GB
Hard Drive: Crucial 250gb SSD (although I've left this disconnected on most attempts)
PSU: OCZ Modxstream Pro 600W

Heat Sink: Noctua NM-12011
Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Black Mid
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz/CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer i11/Motherboard: Asus Z97-PRO(Wi-Fi ac)/Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866/Primary Storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 512GB SSD/Secondary Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 2TB HDD/Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970/Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Blackout ATX Mid Tower/Power Supply: Corsair 760W/Optical Drive: Asus Blu-Ray Reader/Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)/Monitor: Dell U2713HM 60Hz 27.0" Monitor

But in-saying that the code "00" is not signifying that it is the RAM, so I am thinking CPU at this point...

Wouldn't it at least try to post with something on the screen instead of blank?

Still having the same problem even with new RAM, could it be the video card is not compatible with the mobo?

Is there anyone in Toronto who can help out troubleshooting
