microsoft edge will not work

I just bought my mom a new windows  computer and set everything up but now it won't  open microsoft edge and I have tried literally everything I know (also yes it is connected to the internet)

Do you get any kind of errors displayed on the screen?

 

Also if you haven't already I would suggest you check the computers event log. The event log is where windows puts information about the running of the computer. (In simple terms)
