Need Help with New Build.

I have created an entirely new build from the ground up, and would like some tips as to anything I should change and anything I should keep. Some things are probably too expensive, so if you have a potential price drop that doesn't decrease performance, that would be appreciated too. Thanks.

You don't need to spend that much on a cpu cooler for a locked cpu.

 

The GTX 980 is bad value for money. Wait for the GTX 1070.

I've edited some things, especially the $500 GTX 980, which I didn't even notice, considering the massive price. Try this new build.

This is better. I would still wait for the GTX 1070 though if you are not in a rush to build.

Some boards can overclock non 'k' cpu's but they are not as flexible as the Z170 chipset. If you are set on overclocking then you really want a 'k' cpu and a Z170 board.
