I have 8 HDDs in my PC, and one of them are defect. Since 6 of them are really difficult to get out, have to either take out the PSU or the CPU fan (Have this one: http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Cases-and-Cooling/SilverStone-Crown-Series-CW02-HTPC-Chassis-Review).

I bet there is an easy way to tell which HDD is connected to which S-ATA port. Can anybody tell mehow (Have Win 7, and doing some maintenance before updating to Win 10 today)

Sorry for the few off Capital letters in my posts, it does it on its own when I Write in English, since my OS is in another Language. It's annoying.

You can try following the SATA cable.

If you have AHCI enabled, you can just unplug them one by one until you find the culprit. If you can see the serial numbers on the drives, you can always compare them to what you get with software. Most S.M.A.R.T -capable HDD test softwares can read the S/N too.

The problem is that they all look the same, can't see the lables. So I don't know which cable to follow.

Unplugging 1 and 1 I know about, but would like it to take a little less time.

In disk management is says it's located at: "Channel 4, target 0, lun 0"
