So I plug my xbox 360 controller in and it says this device has malfunctioned. So then I go look at windows update, no updates available. So then I go online searching for drivers. No drivers as I can see. This is the informationg i have and it would be super awesome if I could get a reply. Oh I also deleted the xbox 360 controller in device manager trying to disable and re-enable the driver, and I having a bad time getting that back.

You tried other usb ports? Also is it a wired controller?

reconnecting the controller to another port should bring up the driver again. Also rebooting with the controller disconnected and then connecting the controller after the boot should also bring up the driver.

The wireless ones with the play +  charge kit won't even send a signal to the PC. @leelaa14

You can not use a wireless one with play and charge kit as a wired controller. You would need a wireless controller reciever. I got mine for £5

In device manager you might try telling it to show hidden devices and uninstalling all 360 controller related entries so it will try to redownload the driver

I'll just delete everything because that sounds like it would work :/

If you are using it with a play and charge kit then it won't work.
