I see no way in hell that could work... it connects either by Mini PCI-E, meaning you probably have to take out your wifi card or ssd and also have the bottom of your laptop hanging open, or Expresscard, which as far as I know is slow as all hell and couldn't possibly be used for graphics. Plus, you still have to power the slot AND the card with a desktop power supply. I can't see this working... Just buy a cheap rig dude.

A Guide For Getting Started With Linux

My first rig:   CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860k Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper T4 MoBo: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-DH3 Video Card: EVGA GTX 750 Ti Superclocked RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX Fury White 1866MHz Storage: WD Blue 1TB PSU: EVGA 100-W1-0500-KR Case: Rosewill SRM-01

Has anyone tested this on their laptop? I'm looking for an affordable way to upgrade my gaming experience without investing in a new rig.

Things like the above product are legit, and do work, as can be seen in that video.

Okay fine, it works, I was wrong and I'll admit that (although I still think using Expresscard wouldn't work) but it still not a reliable solution, and it's dumb as hell. You're seriously gonna have a desktop power supply, a sketchy, flimsy looking PCI-E port, a desktop GPU, and a laptop with the bottom removed on your desk just so you can play some games?

So yes @rodge.rives, apparently it does work, but why even bother? The thing itself is $60, then you have to buy a GPU, anywhere from $100 to 400+ that'll be bottlenecked out the ass, a power supply, probably a USB wifi adapter since you have to remove your built in one... At that point you're getting near the price of a lower end rig, which would be a much better gaming experience, plus you don't have a Franken-laptop sitting on your desk. That's just my $.02

Thanks! I have found this video before, and the mod isnt that hard (you just have to give up wifi but I use Ethernet when downloading and playing  online). I'm  mainly looking for others who have tried or tested it.

Thanks! I'm not as worried about the mod itself just looking for leget specs from others who have tested it. But thanks for replying and giving your $.02  Im leanimg  more your way just seeing  what other info on this option is out there.
