Hey everyone,

I guess most off you saw the GTX1080 release event.

During the presentation Jen-Hsun introduced something called 'Simultaneous Multi Projection' and as a triple screen user i am very interested in this feature.

However only 6 months ago i bought a GTX 980Ti and i'm quite annoyed that this feature gets released in another couple of months with the new series.

Is there any chance this is more a software thing like "Ansel" that they introduced as well, so i'l be able to do 'Simultaneous Multi Projection' with my GTX 980Ti or is this closely linked to their new Pascal architecture.

In which case the Maxwell architecture in the GTX 9XX-cards won't be able to run this feature.

The introduction of 'Simultaneous Multi Projection' took me by surprise, because to be honest there current 'Nvidia Surround'-software isn't very good

Introducing this should have impact on their implementation of 'Nvidia Surround' as well, i would think...

It's implemented in the hardware it self "Pascal architecture" , it's not software. Nvidia has to keep working on new technologies to make people buy their latest offering.

You can sell your 980 ti now and grab 1080 when it's out , you won't lose that much

Slowly...In the hollows of the trees, In the shadow of the leaves, In the space between the waves, In the whispers of the wind,In the bottom of the well, In the darkness of the eaves...

Slowly places that had been silent for who knows how long... Stopped being Silent.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Working on a triple projector setup with the 980ti, but Simultaneous Multi Projection, and it being exclusive to Pascal has really made me rethink my setup.

I was planning on grabbing another 980 when the price dropped but now I'll wait and do more research.

Would be interesting if Linus and the guys would revisit their multi projector setup with this new card.
