Modems choice

Hi. New here 

currently staying in South-Eastern Asia. Have a landed house with a total of 8 rooms 

modem is on level 1 and the rest of the 8 rooms are on level 2 and 3. Cat 6 wiring is done for all room to the ISP (point) at level 1. Asking for advice on what modem is suitable for this case. Think on getting a new modem. Probably less than USD 250. The router must be able to support 1 GB Of speed, has wifi, portforward, remote access to data at home.

use a router for wifi like the asus ac3200 and make sure to place it at the center of the house. since you have cat 6 wiring done throughout the house and to the ISP, you would be able to take full advantage of bandwidth and ISP placing the router at the center of the house ensures you get  max coverage througout the house.
